Our Commitment
At Written For Her, we want every customer to love their story. We understand that purchasing a personalized digital product requires trust, and we take that seriously. This Refund Policy outlines when and how you can request a revision or a refund.
Digital Product โ Important Notice
Our stories are personalized digital products created exclusively for you based on your questionnaire responses. Because each story is unique and crafted from scratch, all sales are generally considered final once the story has been delivered to your email.
However, we offer revisions and refunds under the conditions described below.
When You Can Request a Revision or Refund
You may contact us within 7 days of receiving your story to request a free revision or a full refund in the following cases:
- Story doesn't match your questionnaire: If the story does not meaningfully reflect the names, scenario, setting, intensity, or other details you provided, we will revise it for free or issue a full refund at your choice.
- Late delivery beyond maximum timeframe: If your story was not delivered within 72 business hours (standard) or 24 business hours (express) and you no longer wish to receive it, you are entitled to a full refund.
- Technical or quality defect: If the PDF file is corrupted, unreadable, contains incomplete content, or has significant formatting errors, we will either re-deliver a corrected version or issue a full refund.
- Duplicate charge: If you were charged multiple times for the same order, we will refund the duplicate charge(s) immediately.
- Change of mind: If you simply changed your mind after purchasing or after receiving your story.
- Subjective dissatisfaction: If the story accurately reflects the details you provided but you are unsatisfied with the creative direction, writing style, or narrative choices. We do, however, encourage you to reach out โ we may be able to offer a partial revision in good faith.
- Failure to provide details: If you left questionnaire fields blank or provided vague/incomplete information that resulted in a less personalized story.
- Email issues on your end: If you did not receive the story due to an incorrect email address, full inbox, or aggressive spam filter, and we can demonstrate the email was sent successfully.
How to Request a Revision or Refund
To request a revision or refund, please email us at contact@writtenforher.com with the following information:
- Your order number (found in your confirmation email)
- A brief description of the issue
- Whether you prefer a revision or a refund
Our team will review your request and respond within 3 business days.
Revision Process
If you opt for a revision, here's what to expect:
- You tell us specifically what needs to change (e.g., "his name should be Damien, not Daniel" or "I asked for enemies to lovers but got strangers to soulmates").
- We revise your story and deliver the updated PDF within 48 business hours.
- You are entitled to one free revision per order. Additional revisions may be offered at our discretion.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5โ10 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5โ10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
We do not offer refunds in the form of store credit, exchanges, or alternative payment methods.
Express Delivery Add-On
If you purchased the Express Delivery add-on and your story was delivered within the standard timeframe (48โ72 business hours) instead of the express timeframe (under 24 business hours), you are entitled to a full refund of the express delivery fee. The story itself is not eligible for refund in this case unless it meets one of the other criteria listed above.
Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues quickly and fairly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in delays and additional complications for both parties.
If a chargeback is filed and we can demonstrate that the product was delivered as described, we reserve the right to dispute the chargeback and provide evidence of delivery and questionnaire compliance.
