“Tell me to leave, Sarah, and I will.”
She should have. Any sensible woman would have walked him to the door.
She curled her fingers into the front of his coat and held on.
Damien let out a slow breath, and something in his shoulders finally gave way. He reached past her and turned the lock, unhurried, so she heard it slide home.
“Then I’m not going anywhere,” he said against her hair.
